Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for delivery of project including managing a team of senior staff and partners to achieve sustainable outputs of quality, with timeliness and efficiency.
- The individual will be the principal institutional liaison to CDC India and oversee operational procedures and policies, financial controls, and management of partners with support of specific team leaders.
- Provides technical and management leadership to the project and ensure successful implementation of the work plan and achievement of the project’s targets and goals.
- Provides technical and programmatic oversight directly to the activity areas as well as liaise with senior government officials, dignitaries, executives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs) and the organized private sector.
- Ensures that technical efforts are evidence-based, community-driven and will contribute to the deliverables in the EpiC annual implementation plan.
- Ensure effective management and monitoring of program through field visits, regular program and results review meetings, mentoring of team members.
- Lead development of quality deliverables including reports, workplans and other documents as needed per donor requirements.
- Oversee program operations team for smooth and compliant finance, administration and grants management following best practice, FHI 360 rules and donor rules and regulations.
- Ensures alignment of activities with the Govt. of India and existing KP HIV planning and programming and work with other KP and HIV coordinating agencies.
- Keep abreast of developments in larger HIV/AIDS and KP programs; document project methodologies, results, and outcomes.
- Contribute to program quality according to FHI 360 standards including quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead advocacy visits with all stakeholders for improved service uptake and create understanding on KP friendly services.

Minimum Requirements:
- An advanced degree (at least Master’s level) in medicine, public health, or community development,
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in managing and delivering public health programs. Of this a minimum of 5 years should be in executive leadership preferably HIV/AIDS or TB projects with a demonstrated experience of evidence-driven programming.
- Evidence of capacity to build and maintain working relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders including government agencies, NGO partners, and Community groups. Experience of community systems strengthening incorporating gender and vulnerable population needs is essential.
- Management experience with US government agency agreements is highly desirable.
