Position Summary
This program looks at translating the STEP model onto a digital platform and implementing it for the schools of APREIS (Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions Society).
As a School Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for driving the mission of enabling the education ecosystem to lead continuous and sustainable improvements by providing support to a designated group of stakeholders in the public school sector. Each School Transformation Lead will be assigned 10-15 schools and will be responsible for engaging with the school virtually to support, coach and mentor them through the STEP model.
The School Transformation Lead will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating programs for these schools.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Leading and co-creating the journey of education change through various interventions with the schools.
2. Research and develop tools to identify needs of the education system
3. Develop a strategic plan aligned to the scope and focus of the projects.
4. Foster positive relationships with teachers, school staff and other stakeholders to get buy-in on change efforts required at school level.
5. Work closely with the existing leadership team of the school to improve instructional leadership.
6. Facilitating sessions for stakeholders and also creating sessions plans and training modules based on the focus of the projects.
7. Review and track the progress of faculty and staff through monthly check-ins, quarterly reports, and field visits.
8. Establish effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes
Eligibility
1. Minimum 2 years of work experience, however, candidates with strong experience in the education sector will be considered.
2. Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs and activities OR experience working on projects with school stakeholders from underserved urban/rural localities.
3. Strong interest in empowering a school through - School Leadership and Teaching & Learning,
4. Knowledge of Telugu is preferred.
Remuneration
It will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidate’s
experience and competency.
