If you are a self-starter who has high commitment, discipline, rigor, and empathy, who is comfortable finding a method in the madness that start-ups are, this role is for you. Now, on to more specific requirements.
At the outset, we encourage people from diverse academic/professional backgrounds to apply, assuming you are:
- Passionate about politics, policy & gender,
- Can think in a logical and organized/structured manner,
- Have demonstrated capability at conducting quantitative & qualitative research.
That said, a few other specific skills that would be necessary for the role-
- Preferred Masters in Policy/Politics/Gender/Adult Learning – Educational background can be diverse, but a solid understanding of gender & politics would go a long way.
- 4-5 years of professional work experience in any of these fields – End-to-end program design and management, political consulting/management, data analysis, curriculum design, behavioral analysis.
- Excellent written & oral communication in English & Hindi (any other language is an added advantage)
- Work experience in political space and gender is preferred.
- Ability to imbibe political perspectives and be self-aware of personal political positions in any challenging context.
- To be open to taking leadership roles.
- Ability to work across functions and co-ordinate with multiple teams.
- Street-smart agility to transition into roles and ability to manage people.
Core Responsibilities
Perks: An early-stage organization will prepare you with skillsets to run an organization, and creating new processes and wear multiple hats. As a Program & Training Manager, you would have to approach programs through a bi-partisan lens and arrive at an activity-based, interactive and experiential way to deliver it. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Understanding NETRI’s core beneficiary – Political Candidates, Political Professionals & Political Entrepreneurs. These are the people we serve, and a deep understanding of them is something we consider sacrosanct.
- Quantitative & Qualitative secondary research to design modules – Conducting good quality research should be in your blood.
- End-to-end program management skills – including Needs Assessment, Program Design, Marketing the program, Recruitment, Training, Engagement strategy for various stakeholders in the program etc.
- Designing feedback processes and metrics to constantly build and improve the program.
- Designing immersive experiences informed by behavioral analysis of our core beneficiaries.
- Documenting and creating a repository of processes and key resource people for each program.
- Other things that could be part and parcel of the programs as they continue to evolve.
Role will be remote at this point; however, program priorities may dictate if relocation is required.
