In response to the dire need and the industry’s will to participate in the agenda for inclusive development, NASSCOM established NASSCOM Foundation in 2001. As an offshoot of the industry body NASSCOM, the Foundation took the role of consolidating industry’s efforts, researching in the space of Information and Communication Technologies for Development and channelizing the support of member companies for social development.

Title: Project Manager
Location: Ahmedabad/ Gujarat Rural
Reporting: Program Manager
Summary
A strong professional with good experience in the Industry and fair understanding of Rural skilling ecosystem. Enthusiasm to learn, Multi-tasker, collaborative, solution-driven and Interactive. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
The programs aim to deliver the rural community women, youth and school children with skillstraining thereby enabling beneficiaries towards need based access to linkages and opportunities in a way that contributes to their empowerment in 21st century digital and information society and economy.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing the program activities on ground, across multiple program locations in Gujarat.
• Plan and manage baseline survey, need assessment, mobilization, Enrollment, training,assessments, audits and other program related activities as per timelines.
• Build relationship with key stakeholders like district & block functionaries for required permissions.
• Coordinate with SPOCs of Implementation partners and other local authorities to ensure smooth functioning of all program activities
• Collate program data (mobilization, Enrollment, training, impact stories, etc.) and create period progress reports as per the guidance of Program Manager
• Report to the Program Manager and carry out any programmatic activities applicable to the assigned program locations.
• Any other program related tasks assigned by the management.
Key Requirements
• Minimum 5 year of experience in skilling/Training programs and social development sector.
• Education: Graduate/Masters in any stream, MSW/BSW Preferred.
• Proven ability of working in rural environment
• Previous experience in skilling candidates from rural communities.
• Data compilation, management and analysis.
• Strong morals viz. honesty, transparency, generosity, altruism and respect.
• Well-motivated, team member able to work alone and/or without supervision.
• Problem solving skills - predict potential challenges in advance and brainstorm solutions.
• Budgeting - Responsibility to develop a budget and make sure it is being followed closely.
• Knowledge of creating impact stories from the community
• Essential:
o Proficient in MS Office
o Willingness to travel in remote locations of Gujarat
o Strong Communication, Negotiation, Management and Leadership skills.
o Knowledge of local language, culture, social structure and the geography of the
districts of Gujarat.
o Ability to read, write, speak and listen well in Gujarati and English.
• Desired:
o Good connects with rural authorities in Gujarat
• The position will be for a fixed period till 30th June 2022, extendable upon extension of the project.
• Salary as per experience and organisations norms.
