About Raabta - STP:

Raabta (Devnagari:राब्ता, Farsi:رابطہ (is an Urdu word of Arabic origin which means a connection, relation, contact. Raabta - School Transformation Program (STP) is a program that aims to build meaningful connections between key stakeholders responsible for a child's holistic education. It is a process that involves a transformation in all domains of the functioning of a school towards becoming a Light-house School. It brings together findings from national & international research into daily practices for schools. The ultimate goal is to improve outcomes for students, including levels of achievement and wellbeing. We are working with 13 schools across five regions, namely Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra.

Position Summary:

As we continue to expand and work with more partner schools, we are looking to have on our team two Associates, Training and Impact for Raabta - STP, a flagship program aimed towards transforming schools. We are in the initial stages and want to build a strong team while ensuring its personal growth. The Associates will work closely with the Chief of Program and Curriculum, Program Director, and Joint Director as a core team. All of them will collectively report to the Executive Director.

Trainers play a critical role in the continuous support and development of teachers and leaders across our schools. They serve as managers and coaches for our stakeholders towards creating individuals who drive excellence in the classroom and school with a deep sense of clarity and conviction. Trainers support teachers and leaders through training, facilitating spaces for collaboration, classroom observation, continuous feedback, and coaching cycles. As the primary point‐of‐contact between stakeholders and the organization, they are also responsible for cultivating a productive and robust ecosystem and a positive team culture

. The trainers will play an essential role in developing and ensuring a transformational journey for our key stakeholders. To enable that, they will focus on the following areas but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Training Design & Implementation

● Collaborate with various stakeholders (like school leaders, teachers, and parents) to analyze their needs/ context to deduce ways to align their requirements and Raabta - STP.

● Support the program design team to pilot the curriculum and receive feedback on the course structure and make necessary amendments as needed.

● Contextualize training design concerning different geographies and socio-cultural contexts.

● Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the curriculum.

● Create pre & post-assessments to review, update and improve curriculum based on feedback from key stakeholders (leaders, teachers, and parents).

● Support the curriculum team in designing and developing sessions and preparing other relevant resources for each session.

● Develop and maintain a system to collect and share promising practices, tools, and resources within the partner school network.

● Orient mentor teachers for program execution, i.e., training, workshops, learning circles, check-ins, and feedback structures.

Coaching

● Manage & coach groups of school teachers and leaders to achieve ambitious and long-lasting outcomes in their classroom and school.

● Support key stakeholders (leaders, teachers, and parents) in understanding their children’s context, understanding the gap to grade, and its impact during the program.

● Enable and support teachers to set ambitious yet feasible academic and holistic goals for their students, design their leadership development goals, and ensure accountability through regular interventions.

● Build strong relationships and a strong team culture among the school teams and invest them in their potential impact on the school transformation.

● Use Raabta - School Transformation Scorecard effectively to facilitate reflection for key stakeholders of the school.

Impact Evaluation

● Observe teachers and leaders in their contexts to coach & strengthen execution, to gather data on student learning and teacher proficiency.

● Collect, analyze and respond accurately and effectively to individual and group-wide data sets and evidence to understand underlying causes and design appropriate support.

● Support the technical design of impact assessment tools for the programs.

● Conduct and manage impact evaluations and research, data analysis, and support the core team for report writing.

● Monitor structures at various levels within the programs to collect appropriate data.

● Monitor periodic stakeholders-level impact.

● Support the execution team with structures and systems to track the personal and professional growth of relevant stakeholders in the partner schools.

Qualifications & Skills / Experience / Characteristics:

● Prior experience of working with school teachers and leaders will be preferred.

● Minimum 2 years of on-ground experience working with children in a classroom setup/ TFI fellowship/ any other relevant fellowship experience.

● Basic Proficiency in pedagogy and advanced proficiency in at least one core content area (English/ Mathematics) and grade level.

● Understanding of different pedagogical approaches (knowledge about age-specific learning theories).

● Demonstrate emotional maturity, trust, effective relationship-building, and teamwork with adults to achieve results.

● Strong reasoning, problem-solving skills – including analyzing data to respond to the needs of the schools.

● Self-starter and ability to handle multiple tasks remotely.

● Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slide and other online working tools.

● Clear, confident, and engaging communication.

● Understanding, speaking and writing fluency in at least two languages (English and Other).

● Willingness to learn and grow together with the team.

● Comfortable traveling to different locations across India (rural, remote, urban).

Compensation:

Starting CTC for this role is 3.6 lac per annum and the final salary will be decided mutually during the recruitment process. Final remuneration will be based on the nature of work, total prior work experience, and time commitment.
