Designation offered: Intern - Digital Media
Reporting to: Communications Associate
Purpose
To support CEEW’s Outreach (communications) team, update and maintain the CEEW website regularly, create relatable video content, and design social media assets such as - social media posters, emailers and other graphics. Provide disruptive campaign ideas, scripting videos and sketches while coordinating with design and video production teams to create engaging content.
The position needs a person with
- A strong design aesthetic and execution finesse.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, WordPress or any other CMS tools.
- Solid understanding of typography, graphics, and user interface design.
- Experience with Photoshop, Canva and Illustrator is a must.
- Strong content writing skills.
- Familiarity with video editing softwares - Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, After Effects etc.
- Ability to analyze the growth and insights across social media platforms.
- Creativity with the ambition to think outside the box.
You need to be solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines.
Deliverables and responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for regular content updates on CEEW’s websites using the CMS.
- Reimagine and execute current templates for instagram, twitter and facebook.
- Research and chart out best practices to improve engagement rate and other metrics for different social media channels.
- Conceptualise and deliver clean and aesthetic graphics/illustrations.
- Stay up to date with modern social media tools and resources.
- Creating engaging video content using online tools and professional softwares
Other responsibilities
- Brainstorm to come up with creative design ideas to aid CEEW’s outreach and execute them.
- Provide on-ground support during CEEW events and other Outreach responsibilities as called upon.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities above, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.
Selection Criteria
Education
Qualifications: Preferable – a PG diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Business. And/or certificates in web development/other relevant softwares.
Work experience and other skills
- 0-1 years’ hands-on, and extensive experience in handling social media accounts/websites.
- Ability to produce innovative and eye-catching creatives
- Experience with Canva and/or Sketch/Figma
- Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of Adobe softwares - Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After effects would be a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to manage responsibilities independently.
