Fundraising Consultant

New Delhi

Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) www.c3india.org In order to grow its portfolio and to achieve set goals, C3 is looking to recruit a Consultant who will enable it to diversify its existing donor base and work with Indian corporate and foundations. The Consultant will support the development and nurturing of a 3-years fundraising pipeline for the specific projects identified under the organization. The strategy adopted would need to align with current fundraising practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a donor acquisition pipeline of Indian Corporations, CSR-based entities, Foundations and Institutions who mandate matches the specific projects identified under the organization.
• Handhold and nurture the relationships with key stakeholders (including (CSR heads and Marketing leads) thus identified and represent C3’s best interests to them.
• Write funding applications and proposals to match the donor needs to the organization’s requirements.
• Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors.
• Recommend incubation models with a view on future growth of the organization’s portfolio.
• Prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to Executive Director, board and senior leadership team.

Role requirements

• Must have knowledge about the part of the charitable sector wherein the organization operates, knowledge of what a fundraising role entails, the rules around CSR and other relevant issues/legal framework and landscape for non-profits in India.
• Fund raising experience of 15+ years.
• Must have excellent written and oral presentation skills with a good track record in writing winning fundraising applications.
• Must have networking skills to represent the organization to high profile and high net worth individuals and persuade them that the cause is one they should contribute to.
• Must have innovation skills to hit fundraising targets in the prevailing situation- creative and able to think out of the box for innovative ways to reach out to newer donors and retain existing ones.

Remuneration: Commensurate with candidate’s experience and profile.
