Position: Advisory Services Project Lead (India)

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the delivery of advisory projects in field across various initiatives, locations and stakeholders- to ensure project milestones and metrics are met.
    • Able to set up own sales field force to be able to implement project in field across multiple geographies.
    • Establish relationships and work with a cross-functional teams (internal and partner bank’s) to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
    • Coordinate among various external support organisations such as last mile agencies (training, sales promotions etc.) and local government bodies (state / region level) to drive project success.
    • Lead project management including the development, delivery and monitoring of work plans, milestones, targets, budgets, and both internal and external reporting. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity
  2. Provide technical expertise that focuses on reaching & influencing rural low-income customers via banking correspondent networks & other channel partners.
    • Identify and find implementation paths needed to improve access & usage of financial services for rural women customers to drive financial inclusion.
    • Identify opportunities to improve delivery channel design by working directly with Financial Service providers (Public Sector Banks, Banking Correspondent channels, MFI, FPOs, SHG Groups etc.)
    • Provide field based expertise, insights and recommendations aimed at increasing last mile delivery of financial services including innovative technology, agent remuneration, and agent network management solutions.
  3. Deepen relationships with existing financial services partners and provide expertise that helps build new relationships and alliances
    • Partner with existing financial service partners, understand their vision, align and communicate our project objectives and drive mutual collaboration for project progress.
    • Influence senior management at existing partner institutions to act on insights & data from the field and bring in technical expertise to support key conversations.

Required Qualifications:

  1. MBA or Master’s degree in related field
  2. 8-10+ years of proven experience in building & scaling businesses in a fast-paced financial services environment
  3. 5+ years of experience with in retail sales, preferably with exposure to rural markets.
  4. Has a strong sales orientation with a “can-do” attitude. Inspires and lead teams, is hands on and operationally strong.
  5. Interest in the field of financial inclusion, including gender;
  6. Must be willing to travel extensively within India, especially Uttar Pradesh.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines;
  2. Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills to influence field teams & senior management at partner institutions
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently; and ability to work with remote teams.
