Job Description Summary

This role provides Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) support for GE Healthcare’s Ultrasound portfolio of products and services.
The individual in this role will work closely with GEHC stakeholders to identify opportunities and lead HEOR projects to support key commercial objectives and to demonstrate the value of GEHC’s in-development and marketed products to providers, governments, and other stakeholders that influence the purchasing decisions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • SUPPORT EVIDENCE PLANNING: Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders (product managers, clinical research, marketing) to help develop and support plans for evidence generation and value communication, focusing on operational and financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate multiple projects for the Ultrasound business teams to demonstrate the value of GEHC ultrasound products and solutions across different care areas / segments / regions
  • GENERATE EVIDENCE: Design and execute health economic and outcomes research studies demonstrating operational and/or financial outcomes. Identify and manage external contractors undertaking HEOR studies on behalf of GE Healthcare. Undertake in-house studies and related activities such as, literature reviews, modelling, observational/comparative usability studies and user experience questionnaire design.
  • INTERPRET AND COMMUNICATE RESULTS: Effectively communicate evidence plans and study results undertaken by GE Healthcare and by other organizations to internal and external audiences. Collaborate with Marketing to translate study results and develop sales tools / collaterals for commercial teams to communicate product value in support of the solution value proposition.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics, Business, Marketing, or related field / relevant science degree (e.g. health services research, statistics, economics, or epidemiology).
  • 5 plus years of experience of experience in healthcare (pharmaceutical/medical technology) industry or research organization / consultancy.
  • Experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing results for insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Previous experience in health economics, outcomes research, user experience/human factors/usability research, clinical research or customer / market research.
  • Experience in applying techniques of health economic evaluation / outcomes research to the area of diagnostic imaging and/or medical technologies.
  • Experience handling large datasets and use of statistical analysis methods.
  • Ability to develop and communicate deliverables through digital platforms and channels.
