Scope of work:
The nature of specific assignments could include but is not limited to:
* Undertaking rapid assessments on specific aspects of TB, NCDs and public health
* Designing and undertaking operational research studies (qualitative and quantitative) on specific aspects of TB, NCDs and public health
* Designing, developing and facilitating implementation of short-term pilot interventions on different aspects of TB, NCDs and public health
* Designing and conducting needs or rapid assessments using various methodologies
* Undertaking specific assignments on Community, Rights and Gender aspects of the TB response
* Undertaking monitoring and evaluation and technical reviews of different interventions/projects
* Facilitating a comprehensive process for development of new guidelines, manuals, curriculums etc. including but not limited to developing concept notes, reviewing available research and data, interviewing stakeholders, designing consultative meetings and developing first drafts of publications with key recommendations
* Developing new proposals and concept notes for REACH
* Developing specific technical publications, impact reports and other publications by synthesising data and information
* Documentation of interventions and projects across geographies
Required qualifications and experience:
* Post-graduate degree in Community Medicine, Public Health, Sciences, Social Sciences, Management or relevant field
* At least 5-10 years experience in public health; experience in TB will be essential for specific assignments. Domain experience in areas such as gender/social sciences or specific research skills will be additionally required for specific assignments.
* Strong demonstrable understanding of the public health system and the National TB Elimination Programme preferred
* Strong demonstrable understanding of the socio-economic context in India, especially as relevant to public health, preferred
* Research skills as required for the specific assignment
* Exceptional writing skills in English
* Knowledge of Hindi/Tamil/other languages an asset
