Position: Project Coordinator

Deliverables/ Scope of Work:
Project Management:
- Ensure proper program management, utilization of time and resources, and effective and timely achievement of program milestones.
- Develop annual and season-specific activity plans of districts/regions with the field teams.
- Execute agreed plan across cooperatives/villages for Kharif and Rabi seasons for farmer mobilization, training, demonstrations, promotion of agricultural practices and field data collection, etc.
- Analyse Kharif and Rabi season results and address the bottlenecks.
- Lead recruitment, placement, and training of field teams and staff management.
- Review work of field staff/local teams on a weekly basis against the agreed work plan, monitor & supervise them to achieve the planned milestones.
- Coordinate with other team members to facilitate other components of the program.
MIS and Reporting:
- Ensure weekly/monthly reporting of the field team members to the regional team
- Establish metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the work of field cadres and supervisors.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build relationships with other organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to leverage their expertise and resources in the field.
- Collaborate and engage relevant regional, district, and block-level stakeholders in the office of Deputy Registrar (Cooperative Societies), Chief Agricultural Officer, Rural Development, PAU, KVKs, FPOs, community leaders, farmer groups, etc. to build partnerships and ensure their active involvement in the program.
Capacity Building:
- Assess training and other needs of the field cadres, volunteers, and farmers. Also, design and implement the training and other capacity-building programs for them.
Qualifications & experience:
- Master’s degree in agriculture, water, economics, natural resource management, or related fields. About 4-5 years of experience in program management, with 1-2 years’ experience managing agriculture, water, environmental or development programs. Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and work under pressure on competing responsibilities with resilience, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Advanced degree and experience in agriculture and water conservation projects preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of an annual renewal based on performance.
Language Command : Excellent communication skills in Punjabi and English and presentation skills are required.
