Position: Project Manager (Supply Chain)

Job Description:

The Supply Chain Officer will address systems and processes involved in moving manufactured tea from supplier to customer, which include:

1. Identification of potential markets, marketing channels and consumer base in a dynamic manner.
2. Linking the farmers with the conscious consumers.
3. Coordination with Operations and Compliance Officer to build strategies and create systems to streamline.

2. Processing, grading, sorting, packaging,
3. Warehousing, transportation.

4. Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers.
5. Calling potential customers to explain company products and encourage purchases.
6. Answering customers' questions and escalating complex issues to the relevant team leaders as needed.
7. Developing in-depth knowledge of various types and grades of tea.
8. Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.
9. Ensure that the company is reaching its target audience.
10. Informing Operations and Compliance Managers of possible product improvements and changes to ensure that products meet current market needs.
11. Negotiate contracts with TPCs and bulk as well as retail customers.
12. Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.
13. Oversee product storage, handling and distribution of made tea.
14. Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance.
15. Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality

Required Qualities, Competencies and Qualifications:

• Ambitious and hard-working professional with at least two years of experience as a Project Officer, in the implementation of livelihood-specific programmes.
• Post-graduate in Management/ Social Sciences/Social Work/ Agriculture or a relevant discipline.
• The candidate must have good knowledge about the tea sector, including production & marketing, and livelihood issues in general.
• The candidate must have proven work experience as a sales and marketing executive, and knowledge of modern marketing techniques.
• Candidate must have high-level communication and networking skills, good project management skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Willingness to be based in Assam and to travel within and outside the state.
• The candidate must have working knowledge of Assamese. Fluency in Hindi and English is required.

The initial contract will be for one year, including six months of probation and will be subject to renewal based on mutual agreement.
