The following staff is required for ICMR sponsored Extramural Project - Population-based cancer registry for the urban population of Haridwar and Rishikesh to be established at AIIMS Rishikesh.

Name of the post-Project Technical officer (Social worker)

Age Not exceeding 30 years at the time of interview

Essential qualification

1. Graduate in Science 2. Five years' research experience or Masters in Social Work/Public Health/Sociology/any other relevant subject

Desirable qualification: Experience in working on a health project

Remuneration Rs 32000 per month as per ICMR norms

Job Profile

1. Visiting house to house in a defined area to collect data (three cities - Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun)
2. Visiting health care facilities in a defined area (three cities - Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun) to collect data
3. Liaising with other health centers for data collection
4. Compiling and collection of data
5. Any other work assigned by the Principal investigator as deemed necessary for the smooth functioning of the project

Duration One year

Please Note

1. The selection of the candidate will be through the project selection committee and its decision will be final.
2. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in the research projects will be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
3. Only suitable candidates will be called for an interview.
4. This post is purely on a contract basis and will not be extended beyond the time period specified above.
5. It is not employment with AIIMS Rishikesh.
6. The employment contract may be extended on a yearly basis till the project is completed subject to performance evaluation by the project investigator.
7. The employment contract can be terminated with immediate effect if performance is not found satisfactory by the project investigator.
