Position: Communication Associate
Organization: Project Mumbai
Location: Mumbai
Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive communications strategy across all media channels aimed at increasing outreach and improving engagement with all stakeholders
- Build a monthly social media calendar and create 3-5 pieces of content to be shared on all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn) every week.
- Create effective posters, films and collaterals to be shared on all social media and other platforms.
- Assist in drafting press releases for major events, writing blogs and articles, mailers to donors, and other promotional content.
- Help in building and engaging a large-scale community (50k+ members) of potential volunteers on the Project Mumbai Hub through creative content and other ideas
- Draft a monthly newsletter to cover all the exciting projects undertaken by the teams.

Qualities required:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms
- At least 2-3 years prior work experience, preferably in content writing and planning roles.
- Fluent English, Marathi, and Hindi communication (written & spoken)
- Basic design skills- Canva, Adobe Photoshop (not a must).
- A strong desire to create social impact using digital media.
- Good with using the Internet- doing online research, compiling & putting things together.
- Reliable & Dependable- punctual, good at meeting deadlines
- Minimum commitment of 2 years to the role.
- Must be available to join on or before December 1, 2021
Other information:
- We work six days of the week and enjoy every bit of the time at work and otherwise. You could work 9-5 or 10-6.
- Compensation will be higher than NGO standards but significantly lower than corporate salaries. It will afford a reasonable standard of living and is linked to the candidate’s qualifications and work experience.
