Project Brief:

Building Primary Health Capacity for Urban Health in Gurgaon, Haryana (Building Urban Health) – Capacity Building of MCG Project-

The overall project aims to improve the capacity of various functionaries within the urban governance system in Gurgaon, Haryana to deliver quality services that have an impact on urban public health with three sub objectives of Development and delivery of Certificate Programme on Primary Health Care for Nursing Professionals, Capacity Building of Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) and Capacity building of community groups.

Deliverables:

• Prepare planning documents as per the overall project plan.
• Complete project activities as per timeline.
• Maintain communication with all stakeholders of the project.
• Oversee and ensure completion of research activities within the project.
• Manage other research staff employed for sub activities within the project.
• Meet reporting requirements as per project plan.
• Ensure adequate documentation for the project.
• Complete activities under scoping phase of the project-
  • Mapping of community based organizations
  • Complete capacity building needs assessment
  • Prepare a capacity building plan
• Complete activities under Content development-
  • Identify domain experts for content development
  • Oversee and complete content development
  • Prepare a capacity building calendar
• Complete activities under Delivery-
  • Liaise with stakeholders to plan delivery of planned activities
  • Oversee execution of capacity building plan and ensure its documentation
  • Completion of activities under Evaluation
  • Develop evaluation research protocol and tools
  • Ensure completion of evaluation research
  • Ensure completion of closure report
• Maintain regular communication with other project managers and teams within IIPH  Delhi- the Office of the PI; the office of the President; PHFI finance team
• Liaison with stakeholders of community based organizations and Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon, Stakeholders within the State Health Department, Haryana
• Prepare research reports, monthly activity reports, closure reports and project reports as per the requirements.
• Any other task as assigned by the Supervisor/PI

Qualification:

• An advanced Public Health qualification including MPH/PGDPHM or related degree

Experience:

Desirable:

• Two years of experience in the development sector at the community level
• Experience of work with the development sector sector especially in the area of urban health
