F4F seeks a Full Time Consultant as Fleld Manager to oversee its field operations in the Karjat & Shrigonda blocks of Ahmednagar District and Gadchiroli Maharashtra .We are looking for passionate and experienced individuals who are keen on working closely with some of the most vulnerable communities of India,

Primary Responsibilities

1. Manage a toam of Field Associates and the entire operations in Ahmednagar district

2. Serve as a liaison between local communities, gram panchayat members and other partner institutions involved in the project

3. Identity and enroll new participants into the program

4. Conduct field surveys with community members and other rural landowners

5. Maintain meticulous field records and undertake diligent note taking

6. Oversee and supervise afforestation / reforestation activities 9. Translation of key documents from English to Marathi and vice versa

7. Conduct forest and tree surveys and maintain biodiversity registers

8. Liaison with local bodies and government officials

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree and above; background in environmental studies, forestry or ecology will be a major advantage

2. Previous experience working on projects related to sustainable livelihoods for rural and tribal communities or other development sector projects is mandatory

3. Good interpersonal skills and fluency in Marathi, Hindi and English is required

4. Flexible, self- motivated with a demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious relationships within communities

5. Ability to manage high-level relationships with partner organisations

6. Ability and willingness to work in challenging field conditions

7. Willingness to travel to field areas and inside forests

8. Attention to detail and ability to adapt to unstructured or fast-changing circumstances

9. MS office with advanced excel skills

10. Valid driver’s license and a motorcycle is mandatory

11. Willingness to travel to and relocate to other districts within Maharashtra if needed
