Responsibilities and Duties
1. Programme Management:
1.1. To ensure that the programme is implemented according to the approved proposal and in accordance with donor requirements and agreed work plan;
1.2. To ensure coordination, review and sharing of lessons learnt from the activities to support the achievement of outcomes and impact;
1.3. Organise and facilitate meetings with physiotherapists and speech therapists and stakeholders on progress, learning, analyse challenges, and identify mitigation measures;
1.4. Develop a culture of learning and innovation, revising approaches based on the results and needs of the participants;
1.5. Ensure active participation of persons with disabilities and key participants in the feedback mechanism
2. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL):
2.1. Lead the design and implementation of the M&E framework and data management and information systems for the programme
2.2. To ensure compliance with the strategy and to track delivery against the programme targets, outcomes, and impacts
2.3. Prepare and ensure timely submission of performance monitoring plans, including developing and defining program indicators and sources of data;
2.4. Develop a participant feedback mechanism for the project;
2.5. Coordinate research components related to the programme as needed;
2.6. Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and research in order to assess the results of implementation
3. Finance and Reporting:
3.1. Ensure development and implementation of expenditure plans and ensure that the programme is implemented within agreed and approved budgets through undertaking regular expenditure monitoring;
3.2. To ensure that internal and donor financial reports are submitted in a timely manner and fulfilling the requirements;
3.3. To ensure implementation of recommendations from the due diligence
4. Networking, Communications and Learning:
4.1. Build relationships with local governance, govt. officials, INGOs, NGOs, CSRs and relevant stakeholders;
4.2. To ensure adequate communication and learning of the programme are disseminated internally and externally;
4.3. Develop and maintain consistent, clear, and timely communications and updates related to the programme
Qualifications and Skills
1. Qualification
1.1. Applicants must have a post graduate qualification or equivalent.
2. Experience
2.1. Minimum five years of experience in programme management, preferably with emphasis on development sector;
2.2 Applicant must have significant experience of working in rural setup;
2.3 Applicants must have experience in designing and delivering for donor funded projects;
2.4 Demonstrable experience of disability will be a distinct advantage;
2.5 Experience of disability inclusion programmes is an added advantage
3. Skills and Competencies
3.1. Demonstrated expertise and an in-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research design, as well as prior experience of analysing qualitative and quantitative datasets;
3.2. Experience of managing programme budgets;
3.3. Experience in using software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SPSS, STATA, KOBO, or other equivalent packages;
3.4. Demonstrable an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and a willingness to sign and adhere to YES’s code of conduct and safeguarding policy;
3.5. Empathy to YES’s mission, vision, goals, values, ethos, and their target group;
3.6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a confidence to engage and represent at consortia, forums and with donors;
3.7. Professional level of verbal and written fluency in English and in Hindi;
3.8. Strong negotiation skills;
3.9. Demonstrate flexibility and reliability;
3.10.Culturally sensitive and empathic to others;
3.11.Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines;
3.12.Demonstrates Strategic thinking;
3.13.Must be a strong and effective communicator:
3.14.Prior experience of managing programmes preferably inclusive education, basic education, education achievement, instructional quality and/or systems strengthening;
3.15.Willingness to abide by Yeh Ek Soch Foundation’s Code of conduct and child protection policy.
3.16.Willingness and able to travel regularly in remote areas.
