Location: Chennai
Major Tasks:
The Team Leader – Communication and Public-Private Partnership must implement the following activities throughout the state with impeccable coordination with Child Protection team of Government of Tamil Nadu and UNICEF:
- Design and development of a communication strategy for child and adolescent friendly communication materials.
- Identify and build a cadre of communication experts/consultants.
- Design and implementation of target and sector specific communication activities.
- Collaborate closely with key team members/stakeholder departments in developing issue/campaign-specific communication strategies and communication materials in support of the programme.
- To closely coordinate with the team (internal and external), and in particular with ‘Team Leader – Capacity Building’ to carry out training programmes for the key stakeholders to bring about a social and behavioral change at all levels.
- Identify approaches and appropriate channels such as print/mass media/social media for effective reach of messages/materials.
- Identify and line list existing and potential partners in private sectors such as corporates, academic institutions, civil societies for collaboration with the Government sector.
- Develop strategies for Public Private Partnership (PPP).
- Develop tools, identifying team and undertaking advocacy initiatives with PPP.
- Develop strategies for forming and operationalizing state-level Public Private Partnership forums/committees.
- Design and strategize the overall master plan and annual action plan for PPP initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: A full-time regular Postgraduate degree in Communications/ MBA/ Public Policy/ International Development or other relevant management or communication fields. Candidates with past work experience in corporate/public communications, establishing private sector partnerships and dealing with Corporate Social Responsibility will be preferred.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of three to five years of professional experience in PPP or in communications.
- Good knowledge of practices in (public) partnership development and the government is required.
- Experience in programme development in child protection related areas will be considered as an asset.
- Experience in both development and humanitarian contexts will be considered as an added advantage.
Language Requirements: Excellent fluency and written skills in English. Fluency and written skills in Tamil are an added advantage.
