Position: Research Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for candidate with an exposure to early child development. We will expect the candidate to:
1. Have experience of developing & implementing both qualitative & quantitative field research.
2. Support the development of the ASPIRE intervention by:
a. Developing and translating tools for formative research for content development and outcome assessments; drafting of Standard Operating Procedures
b. Conducting interviews and focus groups with caregiver-child dyads
c. Support in analysing qualitative and quantitative data d. Supporting the digital content development team in intervention development
3. Lead the training of AWTs and their supervisors on the ASPIRE intervention
4. Provide supportive supervision to AWTs and their Supervisors during implementation
5. Get trained and achieve competency in evaluation measures
6. Conduct quality assessments with caregiver-child dyads are multiple evaluation time points.
7. Follow and ensure confidentiality of data and ensure day to day entry of the collected data
8. Draft project activities reports as per project requirements
9. Participate in joint project activities including project meetings, academic activities in coordination with the project team
10. Have regular coordination and communication with Principal Investigator at Sangath, New Delhi and collaborators at UNICEF, Hyderabad.
11. Report to Principal Investigator (PI) and provide as well as receive regular feedback on all activities.
12. Any other project related duties as assigned by the PI.
Essential
Postgraduate degree in Child Development/Public Health/Psychology or Health related fields
Skills of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
Minimum experience of 2 years of working in a public health research or child development research project
Fluency in writing, reading and speaking in Telugu and English
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Leadership ability
Commitment to the entire duration of the project (min 18 months)
Desirable
Qualification and Experience in Clinical Psychology
At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in qualitative and/ or quantitative data collection
Knowledge of data analysis software (In-Vivo/ SPSS/STATA) and training in research methods (at least 2 years)
Previous experience of working with participant population (Parents and children under 2 years of age)
Previous experience of working in the community
Remuneration
INR 40,000 per month consolidated
