Roles and Responsibilities

● Data Management and Analysis : This involves working with data across the full cycle including data collection, cleaning and analysis, and report generation (40% of the role)

-clean, prepare, transcribe data for analysis -manage data via Villgro’s in

-house MIS system, clean data, analyse data, and help prepare reports

-carry out primary data collection (an example could be structured interviews with stakeholders ranging from entrepreneurs,Investment Teams, Mentors, etc.)

-support with analysis of quantitative and qualitative data across indicators and databases, to demonstrate the business value of Villgro’s impact and incubation

-collaborate with Villgro’s Sector Teams to generate sector/company

-specific business insights and reports

● Research: This involves working on internal research, shorter impact deep-dive research studies, as well as supporting with design, implementation, and management of the research collaboration project mentioned above (40% of the role)

-execute bi-annual and annual incubation impact surveys

-carry out secondary research on impact/evidence evaluation industry frameworks and best practices

-support with designing short and long term impact studies

-manage and monitor engagements with external research partners, M&E agencies, etc.

-support with key activities relating to the research collaboration project including program design, facilitation, and analysis

● Data and Insight Communication:

Actively collaborate with the Program Partnerships and Ecosystem Development teams to communicate and disseminate findings (20% of the role)

-support other teams with understanding the data and insights generated in order to enable effective data communication

-support the Program Partnerships team with answering impact data relevant requests, surveys, and proposals, and contribute toward improving funder/stakeholder engagement with data

The ideal candidate-

➢ Possesses strong quantitative data analysis skills

➢ Possesses good qualitative data analysis skills

➢ Has excellent attention to detail

➢ Has excellent analytical and organizational skills, and is comfortable working across varied data sets

➢ Is experienced with designing and executing research studies

➢ Has strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with senior officials and business leaders comfortably

➢ Possesses either a Bachelors/Masters degree with relevant specialization insocial sciences, business, entrepreneurship, economics

➢ Has minimum 2 years of work experience in the relevant field(s)
