Position: Fundraising Marketing Manager

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Expectations:
- Work with the Communications team to ensure all marketing collateral are up to date
designed, delivered and effective in use as per plan
- Work with the Training team, the Human Resources Team, admin teams and other
teams to ensure that the fundraising team is abreast of the latest updates that could be relevant to prospective funding conversations
- Submit monthly and quarterly reports to Sr. Program manager and review performance
on Quarterly basis
- Coordinate with other Dhwani team members like Finance manager, Executive Director, Trustees etc., to ensure smooth running of the programme
- Adhere to all policies and principles of the organisation and willing to change the
geography/partners based on organisational requirement
- Being open to take any other assignments that are related to the role based on the
need and organisational requirement
Responsibilities
The position is based at Bengaluru but requires minimum 10 days of travelling a month (After COVID restrictions are over). The work involves:
Creating fundraising resources and avenues:
- Lead on development of new fundraising strategy for the NGOs through their
fundraiser and Leader
- Establishing and maintaining existing alliances and partnerships, and explore new
ones to increase the organisation’s reach and the resources generated, with NGO, corporates/ institutions / high-net-worth-individual donors
- Developing new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organizing events and sometimes participating in the events
- Existing relationships: Stewardship of donors based on their giving capacity, in order
to ensure repeat donations and upgrades
Managing Fundraisers:
- Develop and maintain effective supporting journeys for the fundraisers to support them
with required skills
- Managing performance through regular one-to-one line discussions on the progress, plans and challenges
- Inspiring fundraisers to raise money from new donors, while maintaining and
developing relationships with existing donors
- Drive the development of the resources that supports the fundraisers with prospect
research, portfolio management and managing gift operations
- Knowledge transfer: Best practices to be circulated to the fundraisers through training
and workshops so that there is an effective learning loop
- Weekly/Fortnightly check-ins to ensure that the funding cycle is being rigorously followed at the NGO level
- Support queries on day-to-day operations, recording them on the tech support system
of NIRANTHARA
- Ensure that the NGO sticks to processes including keeping all proposals and documents up to date
Authorities
- Manage and work the logistics within the approved budgets
- Manage the process of monitoring with assigned NGOs and/or organisations
- Take decisions within the limits of approved roles and times
Remuneration
Around Rs.55,000 to 60000 per month
