Job Summary

The Regional Coordinator will have to work in close coordination and under the supervision/guidance of the Project Coordinator. The Regional Coordinator will play a critical role in achieving the project objectives and goals envisaged under the National Health Mission (NHM). S/he will help the project implementation team in establishing systems for ensuring the efficient rollout of the Training Programme of eIMNCI across the state. S/he will facilitate the Project activities and in preparation of various reports including the Data Analysis on a timely manner. S/he will also be responsible for monitoring the field team & Health Care Worker .S/he will ensure effective and efficient supportive supervision at the primary care level.

Contract / Key Relationships

The Regional Coordinator is required to work in close coordination with the Project Coordinator, DFY and Supervise 4-5 Field Coordinators reporting to them

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Building

• Facilitate the training programme at all levels (Facilitation of Sessions, Reporting & Office orders for planned trainings)

• Support in the Rollout of the Training Programme of IeDA with closely coordination with Govt Officials and counterpart at District & Block as planned in the Scaleup of IeDA (eIMNCI) in the State.

• Support field team for the effective implementation of IeDA in the state

• Ensure Proper Documentation of the Training documents & all activities and sharing the consolidated reports on time.

Programme Implementation

• Support to external organization for project related surveys and evaluations

• Responsible for smooth implementation of the IeDA project Interventions within the assigned area

• Acts as the focal point for the IeDA project; and link between the Field coordinators and Project Coordinator

• S/he is responsible for field preparations, organizing meetings and field work related to data collection for baseline and end line surveys

• Facilitate District & Block meeting on timely basis and ensure the records & Proceedings as per mandatory process of the department.

• Facilitate Supportive Supervision of Govt Officials on planned manner and share the report for quality improvement and decision making

Data Management

• Data Analysis for the indicators of IeDA and share the reports with block and district officials of their assigned districts

• Categorization of ANMs and evaluate the quality assessment with support of field team and share the report on quarterly basis.

• Ensure health center evaluation of assigned area with support of field team on quarterly basis and share the report Team Coordination, Reporting & Documentation

• Coordination with field team for implementation of the programme.

• Handholding support to new team members

• Proper planning of field visit (supporting supervision and handholding) as per requirement of the interventions for quality enhancement of health care workers with support of the team

• Sharing the signed minutes of the review meeting with govt counterpart at district & block level

• Document case studies / good practices & Testimonials of HCWs from the field and share on monthly basis

• Facilitate the community meetings with local stakeholders (Community leaders; elected officials; administrative representatives) with support of Project team

• Monthly Reports of the assigned region and responsibilities

• Documentation of all activities

• Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or DFY Mentor/ Advisor

Qualification & Experience​​​​​​​

Essential:

i. BDS with MPH / BAMS with MPH with minimum 2 years of experience of working in the field of Rural Health in a technical / leadership role.

ii. Good communication, planning, coordination, IT and documentation capabilities

Preferred:

i. Demonstrated understanding of the health administration setup in Jharkhand

ii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India

iii. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning, implementation and Technical Assistance provision

iv. Knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to management of Digital Health ecosystem in the country

Skills & Competencies

i. Proven ability to identify problem areas, analyze, plan, innovate and execute ideas, as well as impart knowledge and skills

ii. Ability to objectively analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative health program monitoring and evaluation data and has an eye for details. Communicate analyses effectively to Project Lead – IeDA and other members in the team

iii. Ability to travel extensively to gather firsthand information about challenges faced by ground team in effective implementation of key solutions.

iv. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and ability to work seamlessly across levels

v. Demonstrated learning agility, pro-activeness, and openness to embrace new technologies at work.

vi. Ability to function effectively as a team member and respect diversity in a team

vii. Fluency in English and knowledge of local working language (Hindi) is essential

Monthly Salary Emoluments: INR 40,000/- to 42,000/- per month
