Responsibilities:
Resource Development Strategy:
● Support Resource Development Manager with the selection and organization of content for different aspects of the resource mobilization strategy.
● Research on prospective donors as per the table of needs of the organization.
● Manage donor specific information/resource material, and strategic donor focused dissemination, as required.
● Curate donor oriented communication materials such as topic specific briefs and powerpoint.
● Support in rolling out the donor communication strategy, especially with newsletters.
● Support in individual fundraising campaigns, as needed.
Grant Acquisition:
Analyze calls for proposals and share key information with the RD team:
● Provide writing support for proposals and concept notes for new funding opportunities or renewals, as required.
● Coordinate with the Program and Finance Team for proposal writing and other requirements of grant applications.
● Create standard templates for proposals and concept notes.
● Support collecting necessary information and documents for grant applications.
Donor Compliance:
● Support drafting donor reports, as required.
● Coordinate with the Programs and Finance team for report writing and other deliverables.
● Build a database of donor follow ups and common materials for proposals and reports.
● Keep track of grant installments and share regular updates with the team.
● Regularly review the contracts of the existing grants to ensure all the requirements are being met in a timely and appropriate manner
Documentation and Record Keeping:
● Ensure proper documentation of RD related materials in DonorPerfect.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes Desired:
An ideal candidate should:
● Be a post-graduate in the field of social science/human rights/international development.
● Have experience in resource development and/or external communications; preference will be given to applicants with solid fundraising experience.
● Have an understanding of issues relating to women's rights and the sexual and reproductive rights of all people, and a commitment to advancing these rights.
● Be an excellent writer in English and communicate well with both internal and external audiences.
● Is personally very organized
● Uses systems and processes and good interpersonal skills for follow ups.
● Is personally driven and can operate with minimal supervision.
● Is detail oriented and meticulous.
