Under the guidance of Co-Conveners (FPC), the Coordinator will undertake the following tasks:
Managerial:
- Organising regular virtual and in-person meetings of the Steering Committee and the Collective, as well as workshops and convenings around FPC agendas.
- Documentation of internal meetings, convenings as well as Follow up on decisions made/ Action taken Reports.
- Ensuring steady follow up on interactions (internal and external), time-sensitive tasks, to support advocacy related outcome document(s).
- Support the roll out of the planned programmes and tracking progress on its implementation.
- Preparing monthly reports, minutes, finance reports, et al.
- Provide a point of ongoing connection between UN Women and the Collective to maximise collaboration and impact.
Communications:
- Managing the list-serv and social media for the FPC, keeping the website updated with a promotion plan to disseminate it widely.
- Support with developing Briefs related to Union budget, providing support to GBAC (as needed), issue-based briefs on domestic policies to promote TFGE, communications with Ministries and NITI Aayog [based on opportunity], as well as interventions for international policy spaces].
- Maintaining liaison with key stakeholders, including relevant government agencies at the national and sub-national levels, research institutes, with think-tanks and other issue-based groups/social campaigns, women’s collectives, organisations, and funders to strengthen multi-sector partnerships.
Documentation and research support:
- Collating relevant research materials on transformative financing and disseminating information on relevant knowledge resources of FPC to various stakeholders via email lists, social media, updating the FPC website on a regular basis, etc.
- Preparing presentations, proposals and supporting resource mobilization efforts with donors, and other local philanthropies.
Any other work requested by FPC Steering Committee members and UN Women reporting manager.
In this context, the Coordinator along with the Co-Convenors of Feminist Policy Collective and Programme Analyst, Intergovernmental Processes, UN Coordination and Women, Peace & Security Division at UN Women, to support in management of planned activities and coordinate with relevant team members, including implementing partners and government officials, to ensure successful implementation of FPC’s mission.
Deliverables:
- Drafting minutes and coordinating the implementation of meeting decisions and the combined workplans of the working groups of FPC and tracking status.
- Report(s) on convenings, actions taken, interactions with key stakeholders and documentation of internal processes.
- Series of policy papers finalised and shared with relevant partners.
- Updating and Managing communication including outreach databases, FPC website and social media.
- Regular discussions between relevant UN Women staff and collective members to strategise and co-create agreed policy and research papers.
- Advocacy follow ups in regard to outputs from FPC convenings and workshops;
- Submission of monthly progress report.

Education:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, Mass Communications, Law, Gender Studies, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of gender equality and women’s rights, public policy, and financing in India.
- Previous work experience with UN agencies and Secretariat of Networks are considered an advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of national policy initiatives on women’s rights and gender-responsive budgeting.
- Have good program management, report writing, coordination, and communications skills.
- Ability to write and undertake documentation processes on a regular basis.
- Ability to work independently and in a consultative manner with members of the FPC collective.
- Ability to manage contact databases and prompt response to external and internal requests.
- Experience in managing/ using Social Media handles and Websites is desirable.
Language:
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
