Accreditation Expert – Core team

What is the purpose of my job?

I will provide strategic advice and thought leadership in designing and implementing a high impact school accreditation programme based on state’s / programme’s priorities and needs, which reflects both national and international best practices. I will lead the process of dialogue and consultations with respective state education departments for developing the framework for school accreditation. I will work closely with the programme teams, government stakeholders, experts, committees, advisory groups etc. in the process of designing the school accreditation programme, operating models, quality assurance mechanisms and data driven decision making. I will provide guidance to relevant state education stakeholders in drawing insights from the accreditation data to design strategies and/or support plans for school improvement.

In my job I will:

• Ensure that the school quality assessment and accreditation framework and operating model are designed to deliver impact, taking into consideration recommendations from NEP, national priorities / guidance and RTT’s philosophy and approach to improve the quality of education.

• Identify measures of success for the programme and work with relevant resources within RTT and respective state education department to create metrics for measurement and validation.

• Ensure that the teams involved in the school accreditation programme have a shared view of what good looks like in the areas of accreditation framework, inspection process, reports and feedback to schools, quality assurance, and drawing insights from data for developing actionable improvement plans. Teams will be supported in learning from other relevant programmes and processes for school accreditation both within India and outside.

• Take the lead on the analysis of state’s / programmes needs as well as international best practice for development of accreditation framework.

• Support the discussions with state education departments and other agencies on accreditation.

• Capacity building of government agencies involved in the accreditation programme as well as create training plans and modules to support professional development for effective implementation of the programme, leading to school improvement.

• Lead the capacity building for state programme teams, including identification of professional development needs and facilitating / coordinating required support in areas relevant to their roles.

• Help identify the data/ information requirements, guidelines, tools and templates required to run the accreditation programme.

• Support the implementation of the school accreditation programme by contributing to the development of design documents, guidelines, process documents, SOPs and templates.

• Support in identifying dependencies and synergies with other programmes, as well as roadblocks and risks and work with them to mitigate those risks.
