“WATSAN” is a social enterprise coined from ⁠—WAT(er)+SAN(itation), as our prime focus is to address these two basic issues. 

Watsan makes affordable, electricity free, maintenance free water purifiers and also turnkey solutions for making modular toilets using solid waste and green energy. 

We are the recipients of various awards such as CII Best Startup Award, FICCI Waterpreneur Award, Millennium Alliance Grant, Jury Special Award for Innovative SME from the MSME Ministry, CSIR Rural Innovation Award and Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, London, besides National Award from the Minister of Petrochemicals and Fertilizers (for innovating and piloting the manufacturing of ready-to-fit toilets using discarded landfills from the Fiber Glass Industry).

Designation: Change Maker – Orissa/ Bihar/ Rajasthan /Maharashtra/West Bengal/ North Eastern states

Job Description:
a) Experience in working with women’s livelihood programs, WASH, and SHGs in low-income communities
b) Experience in setting up required processes for establishing SHGs and micro-enterprises with the help of micro-lending institutions
c) Motivating and mentoring Women & Village Level Entrepreneurs from economically weaker sections to run self-owned or group-owned enterprises

Qualification:
a) Post Graduate in rural management, economics, development studies, or social sciences
b) Good at preparing reports, presentations

Minimum Experience: 3 years in functions related to SHGs, rural livelihood, micro finance processes. Experience of working at grassroots with women’s SHGs is mandatory.
