Bhavishyath Counselling is a 3+ year old organisation focussing on career guidance and counselling for underpriviledged students. We do career guidance sessions for students in government schools. Our current location of work is Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh. We’ve also started doing online sessions. We are looking for a manager for our online sessions project.

Job Role:
The work involves managing all aspects of organising the online sessions:

• Deciding the schedule
• Contacting and organising resource persons
• Conceptualizing customized in-depth training modules
• Online outreach for student attendance
• Reaching out to schools to organise customized sessions
• Moderating the sessions
• Post-session activities
• Editing and uploading the recorded video
• Managing social media

An important part of the role (upto 30% of your time) is visioning and raising funds for the long-term continuation and expansion of this project.

Some time may go towards supporting other Bhavishyath activities like organisation communication and the in-classroom counselling sessions.

Location: The role is to be done in a work-from-home arrangement with occasional travel for meetings and project work (Could be once a month, in South India). Candidates willing to work from Anantapur will have an advantage.

Duration: This Contract for 8 months with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent. There will be a 2 month probation period

Start date: mid-March or as soon as hiring procedures get complete

We prefer a full-time person but part-time (minimum of 50% time commitment will also be considered). If part-time this should be the primary commitment and the consultant will be expected to give priority to this work.

Requirements:

• Any bachelors or post-graduate degree with a preference for social work-related courses like BSW/MSW.
• Very comfortable in Telugu and English. Excellent English including written will be a plus.
• Interest in social work, and in guiding and empowering youth.
• Ability to work independently without much supervision.
• Comfortable with technology – learn to manage all aspects of online meeting software, use social media, simple poster making tools like Canva, basics of video editing etc.
• Work might sometimes be in the evenings, for eg. When sessions are scheduled for that time, so flexibility to accommodate this.
• Experience of 0 – 4 years in any kind of role, but preferably one in the development sector or that has relevance to our job description.

Salary: 25,000/- 32,000/- (gross) per month for a full-time role. Sponsorship for short training courses if required, can be arranged. No PF, health insurance benefits.
