KHPT is a not for profit entity that spearheads focused initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in India. In 2003, KHPT was founded with a single mission to reduce the prevalence of HIV in Karnataka’s high priority pockets. The initiative’s success made it a scalable model at national and global levels and KHPT became a learning site for innovative approaches. The unique DNA of our programs is a combination of evidence generation, grassroots community connect and government relationship. With these strengths, we learned and reflected on our decade long experience leading us to look beyond HIV to four other thematic areas. KHPT currently works on TB, HIV-AIDS, MNCH, Adolescent Health and Comprehensive Primary Health Care.
KHPT has been awarded, USAID funded project, titled as” Breaking the Barriers - Community engagement to accelerate TB elimination efforts in India through sustained behaviour change” (March 2020 to March 2024). This project aims to develop and scale, effective behaviour change operational models that improve coverage of vulnerable populations, such as urban poor, tribal communities, migrants, mining/industrial workers, for increased case detection, notification, improved successful treatment outcomes in DS TB, TB HIV, DR TB. The project will implement patient centric approaches, and propose to engage with community structures for sustainable behaviour change towards the prevention of TB, case detection and successful treatment outcomes. The project will embed digital technology within the intervention framework for effective and scalable behaviour change interventions among patients and families and will also evaluate social network, positive deviance, design thinking and nudge.

Qualification and Experience
- MBBS/Life sciences with a background of MPH/MSW/MSC and having a minimum of 5 years and above work experience in Health.
- Experience working with TB programs for more than 3 years.
- Knowledge of the local native language is an added advantage.
- Experience working with Social Behavior Change Models have an added advantage.
- Experience working with State TB programs
- Experience working in the NGO sector.
- Experience working in conducting operational research is an added advantage.
- Ability to work with a multi-cultural team – remote management skills are required.
- Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to BTB for planning, training, surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Support the project in establishing good practices in all activities including quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Provide technical support in the timely and complete electronic reporting of activities and information, using the standardized recording and reporting system.
- Conduct technical visits to project sites to develop capacity of programme staff to assess and improve the quality-of-service delivery and to also document good practices.
- Facilitate coordination with government NTEP officials and also liaise with state and district level authorities.
- Provide Technical support in scaling up of all deliverables of BTB project in the project state
- Conduct/ facilitate operational research in order to provide evidence base for policy recommendations for further improvement of NTEP. Facilitate necessary data collection from field for operational researches conducted by Project Management Unit, KHPT
- Provide technical support to State program manager for implementation and operational support for BTB project in Bihar
- Responsible for building the capacity of the Project team on NTEP policies, updates and ensure to fall in line with State TB Elimination plan.
- Induction training for the staff and subsequent refresher trainings on technical and operational aspects
- Subject expertise on Socio ecological model, Advocacy modalities, SBCC models and Behavior Change
- Conduct review and monitoring support for project deliverables
- Provide TA to Project Implementation Lead – State, to conduct monthly review of field staff and report the observations
- Assist the Project Implementation Lead – State, in program deliverables including hiring and training in coordination with Project Management Unit, KHPT.
- Assist in the formation and strengthening of partnership with State TB cell and other local partners.
- Liaison with Govt. Agencies to ensure effective partnership with the public sector for the project deliverables
- Help achieve the project results within the timelines
- Any Special task assigned by line manager.
- Function as technical head for the BTB project and ensure capacity building of implementation staff
- Accountable and assist state project team in timely reporting, validations, surveillance portal (NIKSHAY) and participate in national/ state review meetings as per project requirements
- Represent organization in all local, state level, national level external engagements

Remuneration : The remuneration for the above position/s will be fixed in line with internal policies and market standards which will be fixed based on qualification, relevant experience, budget availability and interview performance.
