The India Primary Health Care Support Initiative (IPSI) is based in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the initiative aims to support the important Government initiatives to deliver Comprehensive Primary Health Care. The project is in partnership with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS), and works in collaboration with the National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC), Government of India.
Terms of reference:
1. Would be required to undertake qualitative research at district and sub-district level which would entail focus group discussions and in-depth interviews.
2. Frequent travel to state and district level across India while being based in Delhi
3. Ability to organize small and large events, such as meetings, conferences and exposure visits for IPSI partners. This would require logistics and coordination with different stakeholders.
4. Ability to write project reports and contribute to academic papers
5. Any other responsibility given by supervisor
Required:
1. Master’s level degree in Public Health/ Social Work/ Development Studies
2. Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience
3. Knowledge of Indian public health system and Govt health programmes, familiarity of challenges at ground level
4. Ability to work with and coordinate between different stakeholders
