Duties and Responsibilities
Support Vital Strategies’ proprietary research tool, Tobacco Enforcement and Reporting Movement (TERM), in collaboration with the research team under the guidance and supervision of Director, India Policy Advocacy and Communication Programs.
Conduct data cleaning, merging of data sets, univariate and multivariate data analysis and some writing based on analysis. Working with support and under direction, create a data management system for the social media content used within the Tobacco Enforcement and Reporting Movement (TERM) project.
Conceptualize and prepare graphs and spreadsheets to interpret and visualize data.
Assist with technical writing of situation reports and briefs for sharing with policymakers, partners and stakeholders.
Develop engaging written and visual materials especially for social media using TERM reports. Making sure content is posted according to a strategy and calendar.
Support the Director, India Policy Advocacy and Communication Programs and PR team in launching TERM reports as and when.
Support dissemination of TERM reports and related content to the network and stakeholders as directed.
Provide varied administrative assistance, prepare project schedules and support in research for developing presentations and concept notes
Work on any other related tasks as assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or currently enrolled in public health, economics, statistics, demography, population studies, and related disciplines
Experience with MS Office (Excel), SPSS/STATA/R preferable
Understanding of public health and related policy interventions
Willingness and ability to work across different time zones
Additional information

Ability to analyze and summarize data efficiently and compellingly is preferred
Knowledge of statistics and quantitative research methods is preferred
Ability to multitask and learn on the job are important
Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team, strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines

Supervisor may assign other duties and responsibilities as well. Weekly work requirements and schedules must be discussed with the supervisor to ensure that the work priorities can be accomplished in working hours (hours of engagement to be discussed at the time of interview).
