Position: Research Associate - Data Analytics

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Geography, Data Science and related fields with 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Analytical skills and knowledge of mixed methods - qualitative and quantitative research methods relevant for ecosystem services evaluation and accounting, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, impact evaluation, etc.

Job Description:

• Gather and curate secondary data related to ecology, forestry, and community livelihoods
• Clean, pre-process, and validate data from various sources like surveys, databases, remote sensing
• Perform statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics, regression, and spatial analysis
• Identification of research questions, designing research approach, and conducting systematic literature reviews
• Conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis based on the project objectives
• Develop data formats for field data collection and execution of primary data collection
• Support development high-quality policy briefs, white papers, consultative papers, report writing, and research papers
