Job Summary:
You will manage, coordinate and monitor the project including technical, budget management, monitoring, relationships with partners and other project stakeholders to assist in the achievement of Homes and Communities project objectives in line with CRS’ program quality principles and standards to advance CRS’ work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your techno-managerial skills and knowledge of the program area will support high-quality programming, catalyze humanitarian and development outcomes at scale.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
• Provide techno-managerial support to all project activities throughout the project cycle - project design, start-up, implementation, and close-out - to ensure efficient and effective implementation through partners in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices. Ensure project team and partner staff use the appropriate systems and tools.
• Initiate dialogue with scaling entities and intermediaries to develop and implement catalytic scaling strategies, approaches, and activities to enable humanitarian and development outcomes at scale.
• Effectively manage talent and supervise. Manage team dynamics and staff well-being. Provide coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, contribute to the recruitment process of project staff, ensure staff are recognized and appreciated for their contributions, and complete performance management for direct reports.
• Champion learning with project staff, partner teams and key project stakeholders. Analyse and evaluate project performance data following MEAL policy. Proactively identify issues and concerns and use participatory processes to overcome implementation obstacles.
• Engage with government, private sector actors, academe, technical institution and state level actors as well as local implementing partner, as appropriate, during key stages in the project cycle to ensure that their insights and experiences inform approaches and interventions and to support program quality. Share key changes in program direction and focus areas in close coordination and consultation with the District and State.
• Identify staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations to support quality project implementation applying appropriate application of partnership concepts, tools and approaches.
• Coordinate and monitor financial and material resources relevant to project needs. Through planning and oversight ensure efficient use of project resources.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, document, and manage risk and its impact. Assess the probability and impact of risk and recommend mitigating strategies and plans.
• Work with participants in the co-design, co-implementation, or collaborative resolution of problems that exemplify respect and appreciation of local knowledge and experience.
• Prepare and submit required project narrative reports, quarterly performance data, advocacy materials, articles as well as other reports needed/required by the local government, donors, the region or headquarters. Ensure reporting timelines and donor guidelines are respected.
Typical Background,
Basic Qualifications
• Master’s degree in social work / Social Sciences / related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant field-based experience in coordinating or managing moderately complex projects required, preferably with an international NGO.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical capacity and credibility to initiate dialogue with government, private sector actors, academe, and technical institutions.
Experience contributing to the development of technical proposals.
MEAL skills and experience essential specifically in applying data to contribute and to create unique value proposition.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong relationship management skills, having political acumen and the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groups.

Travel Required: 30- 40% travel to project sites and to any other state as per the requirement of the project
