Position: Program Manager

Position Overview:

We are looking for an empathetic, passionate and results-oriented professional who cares deeply about girls’ issues and is committed to advance gender equity and equality. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the Girl Icon program. She will lead implementation and monitoring of the program and ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the program management, delivery and accomplishment of program goals and objectives

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Spearhead and oversee day to day operations of the program including coordination, implementation and monitoring.

2. Develop program work plans and activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the program.

3. Provide technical guidance, support and direction to team members to ensure quality delivery of the program.

4. Monitor and analyze data to track the progress of the program against program objectives, outcomes and donor commitments

5. Coach, supervise and mentor direct report staff, including communicating clear expectations and providing constructive performance feedback.

6. Develop and deliver quality program reports including donor reports according to donor regulations.

7. Undertake regular field visits to assess progress and identify issues, provide solutions, and implement modifications as required.

8. Supervise overall planning and support the team for conducting training, workshop, or meetings; facilitate training sessions with stakeholders such as parents, guardians, etc.

9. Network with and establish linkages with relevant government departments and stakeholders.

10. Other duties/tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

1. University degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, International Development or other related field with 5-7 years of program management and implementation experience.

2. Experience in programming related to adolescents and girls.

3. Proven experience in implementing community mobilization projects.

4. Strong written and oral communications skills in English and Hindi.

5. Strong report development, writing and editing skills.

6. Proficient in computer applications, especially with Microsoft office products (excel, PowerPoint, word etc.)

7. Attention to details, ability to meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.

8. Ability to travel frequently and willingness to work on weekends
