Position: MIS Officer

Location: Assam

Salary: Remuneration is subject to qualifications and years of experience.

Job Responsibilities:

The MIS Officer will be primarily responsible for managing the MIS and reports of the project.

  1. Maintaining and updating the MIS system on regular basis and generate MIS reports.
  2. Develop, maintain and deliver progress reports, presentations, photographs, facts and figures. Documenting and maintaining reports on all activities related to the project.
  3. Compilation of data, figures, and facts, in coordination with project team members, for reports and presentations.
  4. Liaise with Project Office and Manager to maintain effective communication.
  5. Liaise with consultants for MIS systems functioning and maintenance.
  6. Liaise with project team and third-party consultants on matters of project reporting.
  7. Assist in project management and operations in the absence of the Project Manager.
  8. Assist in developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  9. Assist project team in reporting, analyzing results, and troubleshooting problem areas.
  10. Plan, revise and track project timelines, milestones and schedules using appropriate tools.
  11. Ensure that the reporting requirements in the contract with the APPI are maintained.
  12. Take regular updates about all the day to day administrative activities.

Required Qualities, Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Ambitious and hard-working professional with at least two years of experience as MIS at a reputable organisation.
  • Masters in Social Work/Management/Social Sciences.
  • The candidate must be acquainted with MIS systems, softwares, and maintenance of websites.
  • Acquaintance with livelihood issues, especially the tea sector, and small tea growers, would be desirable. 
  • Willingness to be based in Delhi, and travel occasionally to Assam.
  • Fluency in English is required. Candidates with knowledge of Assamese would be preferred.

The contract will be for one year, including six months of probation and will be subject to renewal based on mutual agreement.
