Position: Project Officer (Compliance)

Job Responsibilities:
The Compliance Officer will ensure compliance at multiple levels with multiple agencies.
Compliances include obtaining, and in some cases, renewals of -
- GST Registration Certificate, Tea Board Registration Certificate, Factory License, FSSAI Registration, Legal Metrology Department, Trade License, TMCO License, Tea Waste Control Order Registration, Fire Safety, Pollution Control Board Approval.
- DG Set License.
- It also includes regular submissions of GST Reports, Director KYC, Annual General Body meeting minutes, Board of Directors meeting minutes, AOC-4, MGT-7 etc.
- For New TPCs, compliances include land conversion. Registration with Ministry of Corporate Affairs after preparing MoA and AoA, incorporation procedures including share allocations and registrations, obtaining PAN, TAN etc.
- Obtaining organic certification and sustainability certifications at the farm level are intensive and time-consuming exercises.
Required Qualities, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Ambitious and hard-working professional with at least two years of experience as Project Officer, in the implementation of livelihood specific programmes.
- Post-graduate in Management/ Social Sciences/Social Work/ Agriculture or a relevant discipline. Experience of working in close collaboration with government systems will be desirable.
- The candidate must have good knowledge about the tea sector, including production & marketing, and livelihood issues in general.
- Willingness to be based in Assam and travel extensively within the state, as well as occasionally to Delhi.
- The candidate must have working knowledge of Assamese. Fluency in English is required.
