Health System Strengthening work involves:

  1. Implementation of quality Assurance program in the selected facilities of the district. 

  2. Nutrition Intervention: Working on undernutrition of children under the age of 3 years by opening rural Creches

  3. Strengthening Community Processes at village and Sub health Centers level through training and mentoring ASHA, ANM and CHOs

  4. Increasing the effectiveness of the public health system for the management of sickle disease by training health care providers (doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and ASHA ANMs), and by conducting door-to-door screening and diagnosis in all villages.

Work Location - Anuppur (Madhya Pradesh)

 

Mandatory  requirement: 

MPH/M.A. (Development) + minimum 2 year of experience  working in the field of Public health.

 

Desirable Experience/ Knowledge: 

  • Understanding of Public health system

  • Understanding of Community health and nutrition

  • Experience in project and team management

  • Understanding of research methodologies 

 

 Overall Responsibility of the Project, which includes following :- 

  1. Developing strategies for ensuring smooth running of the project

  2. Monitoring project activities.

  3. Developing and Maintaining project reports (quarterly, half-yearly, annual), documenting activities.

  4. Planning, designing, implementing and reviewing, quality assurance, sickle (CHOs, Lab technicians and doctors training) , community health (ASHA, ANM training and mentoring, CHO and AWW orientation) and phulwari work on a monthly basis with the project teams.

  5. Ensuring the proper training on the sickle cell disease of the lab technicians, doctors of the targeted government facilities.

  6. Developing, Reviewing and fine tuning data collection tools for DH, CHC, PHCs and HWCs, 

  7. Presenting progress report to the organization on quarterly basis.

  8. Presenting progress report of the project to CMHO, DPM and Collector on a quarterly basis.

  9. Minimum 8 to 12 days of field visit in a month to monitor and mentor project activities. This must include participation in one Phulwari worker meeting, one Phulwari supervisor meeting, one Parent’s meeting and one health team meeting.

  10. Minimum one meeting with CMHO and collector every month for orally updating regarding project activities. This can happen via DHS or TL or separately as well. Present the progress report in the form of a presentation once in a quarter.

Meeting Local Member of Parliament and Member of Legislative assembly once in 6 months. This can happen while inviting them for any activity on the field (meetings etc.) or separately.

  1. Sending small article regarding our work to all local news papers and reports at least once in a quarter

  2. Approvals for purchases happening in the project as per norms of the organization and budget allocations.

  3. Financial and HR issues of the project will primarily be taken care of by the HR and finance manager. The Project Manager would need to oversee this process.

 

Salary(CTC): 32000 - 44000 (Based on the experience)
