Khamir is an NGO working in Kachchh, Gujarat for the development and sustainability of the traditional crafts of Kachchh. It has recently started one of the most unique experiments in education of integrating the local crafts into the mainstream schooling systems in order to make children's education not just experiential but also contextual to its local region and culture.

The organisation is working with government schools and experimenting with an integrated curriculum around the crafts of Pottery and Cotton Spinning and how students can learn the subjects of science, mathematics and others, through these crafts. How they can apply their textbook knowledge in real life practices and learn not just for exams but for a meaningful purpose which they can connect with. 

We are looking for someone with a creative mind and passion to work on an innovative project like this and who can add value to it. While we prefer someone from an Education or Crafts background, anyone with the right skills can apply. Remuneration will be as per the qualifications.
