Position: Monitoring consultant

Project Details:
Metropolis Foundation is implementing the project “Too shy to ask” in various outreach areas of Maharashtra through NGO partners. The project focus on set of interventions with focus on adolescent wellbeing and sexual abuse. 

The project will work ensure adolescent girls acquire necessary knowledge, skills and aptitudes that can develop their emotional resilience and help them engage with societal challenges as leaders and girls’ champions 

Key responsibilities areas: (not exhaustive)

  • The Monitoring consultant/impact assessment consultant is expected to visit outreach projects (at least two weeks bimonthly) to project sites and coach NGO/ Partners project team.
  • Design and operationalize the outcome-based indicators and develop NGO wise dashboard to track the progress.
  • Design, lead and support data collection, aggregation, validation, analysis, and reporting in formats for project monitoring
  • Generate monthly monitoring progress report input and output level for monthly planning and decision making  
  • Capacitate the project team of NGOs and partners in providing relevant data and interpreting PMF outputs for improved project implementation and management
  •  Ensure incorporation of gender and diversity aspects in the PMF and actual M&E on field
  • Support the CSR lead / Program manager in analysing data and taking appropriate decisions on baseline -Baseline/Endline Studies and Impact Assessment and provide project-related data and information (including impact data) as required by the CSR team
  • Identify and document learning as what has worked and what has not worked in projectCollect annual data about project participants in digital format 
  • Finalizing the learning agenda and its timeline for the project, in consultation with the CSR lead and project Manager.
  • Prepare progress reports as required internally and for donor reporting, using inputs provided by the project team and partners.
  • Project Knowledge Management and Learning:
  • Contribute to ensure visibility of project efforts and achievements on various internal (e.g., Metropolis Foundation website, blogs and Annual report) and external platforms / for a (publications, workshops/seminars, journals)
  • Document caselets and case studies based on project learning 

Qualification and Experiences 
Essential:
-Bachelor / Master’s degree Rural development/ social work / economics and should have worked in field.
-Minimum five years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects especially health with focus on adolescent 
Preferred
Hands-on experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys and preparation of analytical reports.
Experience in working developing impact stories 
Experience of documenting and evaluating Rural and urban interventions and gender project will be preferred

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficient in the use of Windows packages, esp. Excel and PowerPoint, SPSS and Internet
- Demonstrated documentation and report writing skills
- Experience of providing M&E support to medium scale implementation projects
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in Marathi and English is essential

Remuneration: 55,000/ inclusive of all until March 2023 , with likely of extension.
