Position: Technical Specialist (Quantitative Research)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities of the Technical Specialist (Quantitative Research) will be to support the RAP Team in:
- Developing research proposals
- Conducting research studies in various domains of health systems research
- Developing data collection tools/ instruments and collecting information from primary and secondary sources.
- Coordination with research partners and facilitating training and data collection
- Analysing quantitative data and using data visualization for impactful presentations
- Developing reports/ research papers to inform policymakers and the researcher’s community.
ESSENTIAL
- Academic specialization: Master’s in public health or social sciences or a related discipline preferred. The candidate should have formal training in quantitative research methods.
- Experience: At least two years of relevant field experience doing quantitative data analysis, involving the collection of primary data. Experience in executing research studies, including study design, quantitative data collection, analysis and data visualization.
- Software: Proficient in using at least one commonly used statistical software package such as STATA, SPSS, R software etc. and quantitative data analysis software such as Python etc.
- Communication/ Language: Superior written and oral communication skills in English.
- Interpersonal skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and sensitively in teams and with multiple stakeholders.
PREFERRED
- A candidate with an MPhil or a PhD who has used mixed methods in their thesis would be preferred.
