Position: Project Facilitators

Role overview:

The Project Facilitators will ensure efficient and effective management of key thematic interventions in school education programs through proper planning, coordination, review, monitoring and learning. S/He will facilitate building team capacities to deliver project goals that meet NEG-FIRE goals and objectives. The job holder is required to travel extensively for program/ project related actions, in the program areas. Key Responsibilities include (not exhaustive):

Project Management

  • Provide technical and management support on implementation of programs in tribal and aspiring districts of Odisha, MP and Chhattisgarh on Academic & pedagogical theories and perspectives.
  • Providing hands on support to Learning Facilitators and, Block Trainers with regards to implementation of MTB-MLE processes in the Schools and AWC in our project intervention Blocks in Odisha, MP and Chhattisgarh states.
  • Developing a common process manual on MTB-MLE intervention in the states.
  • Developing and finalizing Curriculum, pedagogy and TLM Matrix for FLN in state as per guidelines.
  • Lead on finalization various manual in regional language.
  • Facilitating and organizing the Teachers forum in the operational blocks in consultation with the field teams
  • To provide hands on support and assistance to block level field teams on various aspects associated with Mother Tongue based Multilingual Educational (MTB- MLE) processes, and activity implementation in Odisha, MP and Chhattisgarh.
  • Ensuring timely implementation of Programmatic activities in Odisha, MP and Chhattisgarh with greater financial accountability and efficiency.
  • Finalizing Field team’s monthly action plans, monthly activity implementation reports, review block reports.
  • Review monthly financial bills and vouchers, and ensure timely fund flow for Programme implementation in consultation with Block Trainers and Learning Facilitators in the region
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of program budgets.
  • Conduct field visits and provide analytical reports to PM and Head-PMD based on the observations on the on-going projects.
  • Develop new ideas to improve quality education delivery on the ground with concept notes and budgets.
  • Documentation & Learning
  • Facilitate baseline, mid-term, end-line and related studies for NEG-FIRE intervention as per program requirement
  • To plan and facilitate program data collection and ensure quality of data
  • Regularly document success stories, compile photo bank, short videos for visibility tools
  • Prepare case studies, success stories, anecdotes for various use in internal and external communication needs
  • Prepare state program narrative reports as per organisational requirement
  • Facilitate ‘in-situ’ research as identified by the organisational policies and requirements
  • Take up other tasks which may be requested by the Program Manager/ Head-PMD/ Executive Director as per the emerging needs in the organisation. 

Required Qualifications, Competencies:

  • Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Education or Social Sciences with over 5 years of experience in Managing
  • Programmes and Projects in the domain of primary education, worked in close collaboration with govt. primary schools, AWCs especially in the tribal areas.
  • Sound knowledge and skills in developing MTBMLE pedagogies, curriculum development, module for teacher training, and Teaching Learning Material
