Job Duration: For 8 months

Currently, MAMTA Head Office, Delhi is seeking applications for Community Supervisor, Communications, New Delhi for its project “Hygiene and Behaviour Change Coalition (HBCC) on hand and surface hygiene behaviours during COVID-19” in Sultanpuri and Mangolpuri, Delhi.

Job Purpose

The job purpose of the Community Supervisor-Communications is to ensure timely and quality execution of the SBCC project activities at the field level. Community supervisor will be supporting the Cluster Coordinators for field level functionaries and community SBCC activities. H/She will be the handholding support to the field team. The field supervisor shall assist the Project Manager in activity related data reporting and planning of activities.

Qualifications, Experience:

  • Masters in Mass Communications
  • At least 5 years’ experience in implementing SBCC campaigns, preferably in health domain at field level
  • Good photography and videography skills
  • Good documentation skills, both multimedia and written
  • Experience of working in urban slums and the use of digital platforms will be preferred
  • Ability to work in tight deadlines and bring tangible positive behavioural change

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively disseminate the IEC toolkit among the target audience
  • Liaisoning with the RKS/MAS and stakeholders for community mobilization
  • Coordination with the Urban Health Centres and the service providers at field level
  • Mentoring and supporting the Cluster Coordinators, community volunteers and peer groups
  • Monitoring the daily performance of Cluster Coordinators
  • Providing supportive supervision to the Cluster Coordinators and community volunteers during house to house visit and conducting mid-media activities
  • Undertake community outreach/ mobilization activities at the field level
  • Effective documentation of the activities and scale up on the digital platform
  • Organize awareness/ behaviour change activities to increase awareness on COVID-19 hand and surface hygiene behavioural change
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor/s.

Physical Requirements

  1. The job requires extensive field visits for supporting/conducting field activities within tight deadlines.
