Purpose:
Responsible for strategic planning for Resource Mobilization function to achieve diversified and sustainable funding to meet organizational needs and to enable CMCA to have adequate and reliable funding to meet its strategic plans.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
KRA: Develop a comprehensive 3-yr strategic plan and annual plan for the domain which aligns with CMCA’s strategic plan and vision
Description:
● Develop a cohesive strategy to meet fundraising goals for each of the next 3 years across various channels
● Prepare, update and monitor annual plans for the domain as per CMCA processes
● Define information flows and RACI frame for the domain
Performance Indicators:
Quality and robustness of strategy
● Diversity and sustainability of funding plans
● Thoroughness and level of detail
● Scenario building and contingency planning to meet organizational needs as per domain plan
Setting up systems and processes for the domain:
● Setting up effective donor management systems and any other systems and technology required for raising and managing donations and donors
● Institutionalizing clear and distinct processes for marketing, sales, relationship management for various categories of donors and volunteers.
○ This includes engaging high net worth individuals and corporate donors through employee volunteering, internships for children, delightful reporting, gifts and communication
● Document and report on performance of the domain and impacts (outcomes and milestones) as per CMCA requirements
● Performance management and accountability as per CMCA systems:
○ Annual Plan submission
○ Midterm review of annual plan
○ Monthly individual plan submissions by team to lead
○ Annual Review of Domain Plan
● Timeliness and quality of reporting
Manage team performance and daily operations
Education Background: Graduation
Type of Experience :
● Significant experience in fundraising is essential
● Experience in managing the resource mobilization function in a comparable organization would be required
● Experience in high networth relationship management and high value sales would be a bonus
