RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES
A. Program Development and Coordination Support to Signature Programs (30%)
- Coordinate between Signature Program Directors (SPDs) based in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha; Resource Mobilization Director and
- Support the program with expertise in the thematic areas and be an expert in climate change or Power, Water and
- Internet (PWI).
- Collate country program information, supporting program knowledge needs, especially when developing proposals.
- Ensure programmatic excellence through the development and implementation of innovative performance and outcome
- Ensure and direct the development of regular and timely programmatic updates across all programs to ensure cross-pollination of ideas, knowledge- building, and resource sharing, including helping to develop a knowledge management system and supporting
- Monitor scopes of work to ensure timeliness, quality and accuracy of activities vis-a-vis contractual and grant
B. Provide Strategic and Thought Leadership to the Legally Separate Entities (ASSET-Wand PGPLC) (40%)
- Provide programmatic leadership for the LSEs
- Engage stakeholders and interface with donors for the LSE and
- Support the LSE and PLC to increase
- Support the Signature Program Director with regards to the implementation and reporting of the LSE and PLC programs in their respective geographies.
- Engage in national-, state-, and local- level relationship building to increase Heifer's visibility and ensure strategic programmatic and organizational
- Work collaboratively across sectors with diverse, strong, and influential partners to achieve common
C. Resource Mobilization Support (30%)
- Provide strategic support to Program team for local resource leverage, Catalytic Leverage Fund (CaLF).
- Support in designing new Signature Programs and updating existing programs/projects as needed.
- Support in developing new projects including writing in collaboration with other team members.
- Regularly conduct a stakeholder analysis to strengthen partnerships and leveraging of resources.
- Oversee the management of programmatic budgets to ensure effective and compliant use of grant and contract funds.
- Direct budget development for new programs and renewals.
- Review bids in response to RFPs and RFAs on a consistent basis, in alignment with fundraising and portfolio goals, and in collaboration with staff and external partners.
- Support proposal development for all three entities - liaison office, LSE and PLC.
- Ensure compliance for all program grants and contracts; work with grants team to implement and/or improve reporting tools and ensure timely, accurate reports and communications to funders.
- Coordinate between various teams and the Resource Mobilization department for new opportunities.
- Explore new opportunities and showcase the India Program in various forums.
D. May perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- A masters or MBA Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Agri-economics, Rural Marketing, Sociology, or a related field is required, plus 15 years of relevant experience including five (5) to seven (7) years in a senior management position in an international organization. Experience and knowledge in program management and fundraising, as well as proposal development is preferred.
Preferred Requirements:
- 10 years of leadership/supervisory/managerial
- Thorough understanding of programming processes, systems and principles, and the ability to provide leadership and support to staff working at the community
- Solid skills, knowledge and foundation in proposal development and of the project management
- Sound understanding of value chain development on various agricultural commodities and the livestock
- Sound understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of the root causes of poverty in
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges, opportunities and implications to community
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning
- Self-motivated, able to balance multiple and competing priorities or deadlines, excellent organizational skills, and ability to track multiple project/program tasks as delegated to program
