Position: Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Project Manager is the focal point in the various Kraftsamla projects in the field, reporting to the Programme
- Manager of the Chamber.
- The Project Manager will be required to perform different roles and functions in Kraftsamla.
- We are looking for someone who has a passion for gender equality, is creative, curious, and ready to contribute where there is a need. Below list of responsibilities should be taken as indicative.\
- Purposefully and independently lead projects within the realm of Kraftsamla, making sure that the project components, project requirements, budget, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
- Identify and enrol implementation agents via thorough due diligence process, monitorperformance and compliance.
- Coordinate with different stakeholders (companies, NGOs, government, beneficiaries, etc.)
- Ensure proactive communication regarding project are done regularly to ensure allstakeholders are aware and engaged.
- Coordinate development of internal Kraftsamla material and methodology for use in the project.
- Follow project progress, plan for risk mitigation, and ensure constant, and documented,monitoring
and evaluation.
- Ensure effective coordination of all components of projects and the larger Kraftsamlaprogramme as
required.
- Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution as per timeline.
- Coordinate training programmes; incl recruitment of participants, training schedule, and ensure
participation.
- Maintain participant’s list, databases as required, uphold communication with participants, ensure dissemination of information, etc.
- Function as event manager; organise and call for events/seminars etc., including preparation of input material, invitation and coordination with guest speakers, participations, organisers.
- Monitor and evaluate implementation agents
- Prepare status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on scheduleand budget.
- Have active involvement in social research projects, such as data collection (secondary and primary), data
management, data analysis, report writing, coordination, and communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s in Social Work (or eqv) with 5 plus years of work experience in the development sector.
• Prior work experience in CSR and women empowerment projects for women and girls would be preferred.
• Grassroot experience of working with marginalized women, gender justice and community development.
• Research experience is desired.
• Experience of working in multistakeholder projects is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills - speaking, reading, and writing. Fluency in Hindi preferred.
• Assertive ability to persuasively communicate across the spectrum of beneficiaries, corporate, non-profit, academia and government.
• Ability to work independently and in team, take initiatives and make decisions.
• Ability to conceptualize innovatively to devise and develop programme components, address issues, and adopt solutions.
• Be a service minded, flexible team member with high level of integrity and accountability.
• Open minded, with an analytical mind and ability to critically analyze micro and macro perspectives. Applicants with cross-functional experience (both from social and corporate sector) are appreciated. Due to the focus of the work, we are looking for a woman to take up the role.
TERMS
• SCCI offers an informal, dynamic, and pleasant working environment.
• Location is flexible and extensive travel to project areas.
• Work hours are 9 am-5 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch break on a regular basis. Candidate should be flexible to work outside the regular hours as the situation demands.
• This employment is on contract basis for one year to start with.
