WHP - Learning study for Preventive and Early Mental Health The unprecedented global health pandemic has resulted in enormous physical, psychological and economic distress, particularly among COVID patients and their family members. Reports suggest that the pandemic might result into a grave and prolonged mental health crisis in India, across all age groups. The raging mental health complexities commonly manifests in the form of anxiety, depression and psychiatric problems.

Lack of mental well-being also unfavourably affects treatment outcomes and might have long-lasting adverse impact on overall health of a person.

To comprehensively address mental health issues related to COVID-19 pandemic, World Health Partners (WHP), with support from USAID, is delivering early screening, diagnosis and management of mental health issues directly to COVID patients through tele-counselling and tele-medicine in three states - Gujarat, Jharkhand and Delhi.

The broader objective of the learning study at Sambodhi revolves around generating learnings on perceived benefits of the intervention among the target beneficiaries

Essential Functions

The candidate will perform the following key functions:

• Responsible for conducting in depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions

• Responsible for documenting the interviews.

• Conduct qualitative research and analysis.

• Transcription of all the qualitative data to English.

• Any other task in congruence with above. The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary. Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job

Personal Competencies

• Graduate in Public Health/Social science or any other related field with 2-3 years of Experience with focus on qualitative research related assignments is mandatory.

• Preference will be given to those who have previous work experience in Mental Health/Gender Based Violence issues

• Excellent fluency in Hindi or Gujarati.

• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.

• Preference will be given to females
