Position: Program Coordinator

Organizaztion: The American India Foundation 

Location: Delhi

Roles & Responsibilities:

✓ Under the supervision of the Regional Manager/ SMSMR Lead, the Program Coordinator will have the supervisory responsibility for the effective delivery of the SMSMR Program and activities across all the target states and locations and will be the single point of contact for various state SPOCs for the overall implementation and coordination of the program.

✓ Program Coordinator, in consultation with the RM/ SMSMR Lead, shall be responsible for strategizing the operational plan and its execution, supervising the state operations and quality assurance, organizing trainings and workshops, overseeing monitoring & evaluation activities, monthly/regular reporting of the Project (Program) progress &update, collation of best practices & learning of the Program, undertaking state specific research/ impact for influencing change.

✓ The candidate must be able to think strategically to increase the reach of the Project (Program) in the allocated states, work independently and author outputs of very high quality.

Project coordination -

The incumbent will be responsible to coordinate the program implementation with the designated SPOCs from the relevant states/ UTs for ensuring timely completion of the project milestones and other requisite deliverables.

• Support/ Independently coordinate with all the designated SPOCs for the SMSMR program.

• Ensure process and system of operations of the program.

• Support RM/SMSMR Lead in working with all the relevant stakeholders including the donor team/SPOC.

Knowledge Management -

The incumbent will be responsible to manage the overall documentation of the project working closely with internal and external stakeholders. This will entail maintaining records, database, reports, etc as pre the requirements.

• Database management as per mandate of the program to enhance programmatic and financial output – illustratively: Student enrolment, attendance in program sessions, responses to curriculum transaction and response analysis, case studies etc.

• Data collection, analysis and management will also be from the point of view of effective documentation and reporting requirements of organisation and the donor.

• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual team reports as per the mandate of the program/ donor requirement/s.

• Identify and document case studies to share as part of the program reporting.

• Preparation of quality presentations/ monthly updates, reports, etc.

• Working closely with the communication team to keep social media and other posts and publications.

• Ensure reporting timelines of organisation and donor.

• Any other reports required by the RM/ program team of DE/ Donor.

Liasion & Networking -

The incumbent will be required to liaise or network with other partners/ stakeholders involved/ relevant to the project during the course of the program tenure.

• Interact with key/ relevant stakeholders including beneficiaries of the program.

• Donor team/ SPOC interaction on as on required basis.

• Assist RM/SMSMR Lead in coordinating with internal and external teams from various functions.

Program Management -

The incumbent will work with her/his supervisor or other team member/s to provide support and involvement in the overall program implementation management. Support in writing/ development of program related documents/ proposal writing/ other related assignments

Key skills and competencies:

• Postgraduate with at least 7-8 years of experience preferably in the Education Sector/ CSR.

• Individual having experience/ worked in technology-based education, pedagogy will be an added advantage.

• Operational experience of implementing Project (Program)s across regions in the Madhya Pradesh state. Well-versed with the geography, government and corporations of Madhya Pradesh.

• Minimum 2-3 yrs. of experience of working with Government officials and CSR team of the corporate, PSU would be added advantage.

• Excellent communication skills written and spoken – Hindi & English.

• Strong planning and management, documentation skills; presentation skills.

• Should have handled program planning & management.

• Strong Interpersonal Skills - relationship building & team working, Worked in Leadership role /managed a team of 25-30 members.

• Business Acumen, resilient and open to change.

• A go getter and proactive individual; drive to deliver; techno-savvy.

• Willingness to travel as per Project (Program) needs.

• Ability to think out of the box and perseverance.
