Qualification and Experience
Essential:
• B.Sc/M.Sc Nursing preferably in Obs/Gyne or Paediatrics
• 3 to 7 years of overall experience with minimum 2-3 years experience in clinical skill training on MNH and mentoring
Preferred:
• Prior experience of working in programs related to Skills lab/Dakshata/Simulation trainings with National, State Governments, and development organizations.
Duration :
1 year with possibility of extension.
Summary :
Maternity Foundation is a non-profit organization works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments in the roll out of The Safe Delivery App.
The Safe Delivery App is an mHealth tool developed by Maternity Foundation and partners, for training of skilled birth attendants in management of normal and complicated deliveries in peripheral parts of the health system in low- and middle-income countries.
Sr Program Officer / Program Officer (Training) will support the Clinical Advisor in the capacity building and mentoring of Nurses-Midwives and other staff in public/private health facilities to upgrade their skills and knowledge on Maternal and New-born health care. He/she would be responsible for the training of staff working in labour rooms via different mode of clinical training using Safe Delivery App.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Design and implementation of blended learning models involving Safe Delivery App
2) Development of training curriculum and e-learning content for Nursing and Midwifery cadre.
3) Coordinate and facilitate clinical trainings and mentoring at different facilities
4) Work closely with clinical team for finalisation, adaptation and updating SD App clinical manuscript.
5) Develop robust mechanisms for monitoring the quality of training programs and their outcomes and evolve operational mechanisms of applying these at scale.
6) Ensure quality implementation of all training programs on the field by working in close coordination with the state governments and partners.
7) Develop process documents, training feedbacks, evaluation methods and similar training related documents and tools of assessment.
8) Work closely with other team members of the organization.
9) Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills & Competencies:
• Fluent in English and Hindi.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills along with strong interpersonal relations and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to conceptualize, analyze, innovate, plan, write and execute ideas, as well as impart knowledge and skills.
• Innovativeness and creativity in solving problems using IT tools
• Demonstrated learning agility, pro-activeness, and openness to embracing new technologies at work.
• The ability to multi-task and work in a multicultural environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project states
