What will you be doing?

  • Ability and willingness to take ownership and lead BA tasks and liaise with relevant colleagues/teams to secure successful acceptance and delivery
  • Be part of a delivery team that drives a set of user stories from inception through detailed acceptance criteria using behavioural driven requirements, analysis, design, development, testing through to delivery and release.
  • Support tech deliveries that identify operational saves & own components of the same form a technical perspective.
  • Analyse and validate business requirements and marry with the developers proposals to meet the requirement , using data driven analysis or assisting/leading user workshops. Demonstrate ability to navigate though inconsistencies to bring users to a common understanding with each other or in line with project vision.
  • Define and document functional requirements either by use of user stories or functional requirements, and provide input to product backlog maintenance and refinement sessions.  Lead functional walkthroughs, demonstrating ability to negotiate and finding a compromise on expectations where required.
  • Detailed gap analysis and design tasks, across multiple applications and technologies to propose solutions and assess the impact of change on systems, interfaces, processes and people. 
  • Identify or provide solution options, pros/cons and present recommendations using appropriate level of documentation for complexity/audience (eg Diagrams, working examples, data insights) and consult to get agreement.  Work with members of team or audience to resolve conflicts of opinion or divergence from strategic direction of area/firm, resolve through appropriate design authority/forums.
  • Work with development team to understand technical design, database, configuration and migration script dependencies, confirm estimates and agree how will be delivered and tested.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs. Identify and challenge concerns around technical debt or where solution may be over complex and is in proportion to commercial benefit
  • Support and coordinate multiple end user groups in multiple time locations and sites during UAT, investigation of defects, through to resolution with development team and retesting.
  • Provide input to overall schedule and sprint planning, raise any blockers and input to overall project RAID log.
  • Significant interaction with Operations and Technology teams in multiple locations; build strong and trusted relationships with user and other technology community. (Analyst to Director level) 
  • Provide Level 3 production support analysis as required
  • Work with release teams to ensure that production releases are planned out with minimal or no disruption to customers and business users. Ensuring CSPT release and change control process is followed.
  • Identify process and efficiency improvements in the team’s development process, deliver tools and actively seek opportunities to implement proposals and remove blockers to move to DevOps model
  • Be able to apply knowledge and experience as well as industry best practice when assessing  needs/solutions
  • Establish best practice in coding, release and change mgmt space and evaluate any performance impact across applications
  • Influencing / networking – developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others opinions and actions

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in executing Investment Banking technology projects as a Business Analyst
  • Extensive knowledge of Capital markets and Investment Banking Domain  – trade capture , confirmations settlements , accounting plus  project implementation  experience in these areas
  • Experience in Requirements  gathering , documentaion of requirements ( Busienss and Functional req document)  , Capturing flows through visio diagrams , test scenarios prearation  , coordination with Ops/Tech teams
  • Experience coordinating User acceptance testing
  • Experience of managing tasks across different functions and across non co-located teams 
  • Experience of data migration, analysis and definition, and onboarding of new business
  • Experience in analyzing data – and knowledge and usage of SQL queries
  • MS Word , Excel , Powerpoint
