Position: Program Associate
Organization: Centre for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI)
Location: New Delhi
Role & responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to pursue partnerships that support the expansion of CHRI’s programs
• Contribute to CHRI’s thought leadership internally and externally on the multitude of innovative fundraising models
• Conduct donor landscaping and identify relevant funding opportunities
• Support in reaching out to potential donors including foundations, corporations, CSR divisions, and philanthropists
• Maintain and manage a funding pipeline tracker
• Support concept note and proposal development, ensuring timely delivery by coordinating with program and support teams
• Conduct background research and prepare for outreach meetings
• Create program information and donor pitch decks
• Proactively research, approach, and secure mutually beneficial partnerships that advance our mission of improving global health
• Support program design and provide project kick-off support, as and when needed
• Develop tactical approaches to major national and international corporations - plan, lead and implement new business generation meetings, reaching decision makers within organizations and drawing on senior support when appropriate
Required qualification and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in management/business administration/sciences/economics/arts/public policy/public health from a top tier educational institute. Master’s degree with be an added advantage, but not mandatory
• 2-4 years of work experience in business development, strategy/business consulting, relationship building
• Ability to build authentic relationships with diverse stakeholders including leaders from government, corporations, foundations, and other NGOs
• Strong capabilities in gathering information, synthesizing, and crafting compelling and relevant collaboration for funding requests with partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong working knowledge of global public health issues impacting women and children
• Resourceful and tenacious, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment on a team that is central to CHRI’s growth strategy
• Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify opportunities
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and as selfstarter
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effectively on multiple assignments in a complex environmen
