Position: Program Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Program Officer will support the program management team in coordination & communication with external organizations and/or individuals towards the management of volunteers, NGOs for the smooth functioning of the organisation & its objectives.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programs-
-Identify and source NGOs that toolbox INDIA can partner with; undertake preliminary exploration for collaborations and set up meetings with the NGO SPOCs
-Project pre-assessment strategy questionnaires to be circulated and data collated and presented to the Program Manager and preparation of project scope notes and charter finalisation as per the toolbox INDIA methodology
-Undertake all pre-work which includes setting up meetings with NGO trustees and Program Manager for project finalisation and undertake relevant field visits for data collection and collation
-Regular follow up meetings with the volunteer team and collecting all data requirements and making available to the volunteers and project facilitation and management
-Preparation of all project-related literature – pre-assessment, project cover notes, case studies, project tracker
-Support in organising toolbox INDIA signature events
-Support in organising quarterly or half-year meetings for toolbox INDIA volunteers.
-Assist in relationship management: with volunteers and nonprofits
-Assisting with data and completion of all mandated reports
Communications –
-Provide all communication material for external communication – newsletters, annual report, and social media content. (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
-Preparation of all case studies for all projects undertaken and reports as required for network partnerships and fundraising.
Office and General Administration
-Maintain all internal databases updated on volunteers, non-profit partners, and projects.
Provide logistic support for the management of projects outside Mumbai.
Assist with any other administrative work as may be required
Requirements
-Freshers or maximum 1 year of work experience (preferably in the social development/impact sector)
-Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sociology and Masters Degree in Public Policy/ Sociology/ International Relations/ Economics or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
-Demonstrated writing and communication skills, problem solving skills, and ability to work as part of a team and independently.
-Self starter with a desire to learn, the ability to rapidly understand the organisation and manage internal resources.
